Portfolio Entry #23 : Irregular Plural Nouns

 Los sustantivos pueden usarse en su forma singular o plural como en la siguiente manera:

book>books
school>schools
friend>friends

  • Agregamos es a los sustantivos que tengan las siguientes terminaciones  –s, –ch, –sh, –ss, –x and –o:  

class>classes
watch>watches
gas>gases
wish>wishes
box>boxes
potato>potatoes
  • Cuando un sustantivo termina en una consonante y -y, lo convertimos en plural de la siguiente forma:  
lady>ladies
country>countries
party>parties

  • Si un sustantivo termina en una vocal y una -y simplemente agregamos una -s:

boy>boys
day>days
play>plays
Existen una gran variedad de sustantivos que a la hora de pasarlos a su forma plural, cambian la estructura completamente, a continuación les dejo los más comunes.
Excepto las palabras FISH y SHEEP que no cambian en su forma plural.
